Just Popping In

I’m halfway through a crazy two weeks, and I wanted to stop by and say hi.  I probably won’t have a new recipe for you until next week, but here are a few things I’m looking forward to making soon.

Cate’s udon soup with vegetables and tofu

and these salty sesame and dark chocolate chip cookies from Joy the Baker

otherwise, I’ll be eating a lot of this Mexican breakfast bowl (it never gets old)

and I made another one of these buttermilk skillet cakes which has been topped with strawberries.  so good.

In non-food related news, J and I had a wonderful time at his cousin’s wedding in Southern California this past weekend.

I’ve also been running again (8 pain free miles!), and cross training like a fiend (oh hello there swimming and spin classes and tons of yoga)
